Methode Champenoise all the way, this sparkling wine is a blend of 66% Chardonnay and 34% Pinot Noir, sourced from St. Matthias Vineyard on the West Bank of the Tamar River. All handpicked in an incredible vintage with fruit being of a very high quality, the brut is an aperitif style with 4 years on lees with minimal dosage. Currently the wine is displaying fresh subtle components however with bottle age will develop brioche, toast and honey.

This wine has as much sparkle as a Mariah Carey concert in the 90's and makes for a great aperitif style. Think East Coast Tasmanian oysters, cuttlefish or charcuterie, think entertaining.
Founded in 1947 and originally by an Italian Textile Merchant Claudio Alcorso, in 1995 David Walsh acquired the sites and established Moorilla Wines in his own vision. Chief winemaker Connor van der Reest has taken lead from MONA and has driven diversity, complexity and the unexpected in his wines. Production is limited and the quality of these cool climate wines is evident in every wine produced. The portfolio is diverse and interesting with usual varietal suspects playing a role with highlights of Chardonnay Musque and interesting field blends for the cloth label.
