This Riesling showcases flavours of intense sweet lime, a smattering of mango and guava and typical of this particular site it also exhibits richness. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night to maintain freshness and vibrancy, only free run juice was used with a period of time on lees to create mid palate weight. While fresh and vibrant in its current age, with time and as it continue to age it will show some further developed characteristics.

Mocandunda pays homage to the Ngadjuri people of the Clare Valley and means rocky outcrop on top of a hill, now it's known for producing fantastic Clare Valley wines. Mocandunda Wines was established in 1998 by Hartley Heinrich, the property’s owner, Roger Ackland, one of Clare Valley’s most experienced viticulturists and founder of Mt Horrocks Wines and Mick Faulkner, a leading South Australian agronomist. All three men have taken this parcel of land and taken it to the next level. A key point of difference is the site location being 450m above sea level ensures a long slow ripening period which gives full fruit characteristics to all of the wines.
