Tasting Notes

Texture, complexity with florals and citruses bursting out - the residual sugar in the 2017 Riesling allows for upfront fruit expression which leads to a dry finish. The fruit for this riesling was sourced from both Coal River Valley and Derwent Valley, Southern Tasmania. Similar to the other whites there is a small portion of barrel ferment (in this case 5%). Unusually for a Riesling, this expression was held on lees after ferment for 2 months.

Enjoy me with

This wine mixes well with spice, our personal favourite - a fresh Thai green papaya salad with extra chilli. The acid structure and lees contact ensure that when pairing with lots of chilli your palate will be cleansed yet the citrus characters will remain evident on the palate.
