The fruit for the Cuvee H is sourced from two different sites in Burgundy with an average vine of 30+ years. With gentle pressing of the fruit, half the juice is fermented in New French Oak and the balance into stainless steel to maintain freshness. Full malolactic fermentation and 10 months of ageing before a soft filtration to bottle. Roasted nuts on the nose with a delicate floral touch. The palate is definitive and built with tension and minerality.

If you have access to in season white asparagus, we recommend matching this beautiful wine with a very well known Italian dish - Asparagus from Bassano del grappa. It is essential the white asparagus is covered in a sauce made from hard boiled eggs, with the whites being chopped coarsely and the yolks being passed through a sieve, anchovies, capers, olive oil, lemon juice and finished with salt and pepper. Delicious.
Established in 1678, Herve Kerlann was and still is one of Burgundies most distinguished properties, with many Dukes of Burgundy calling it home and the historical magnificence has continued into the 21st Century. The current custodian of Maison Kerlann is adventurous, motivated to produce some of Burgundies most complete wines. We are excited to be a part of this on going journey or at least drink it.
