Abundant fresh bosque pear and citrus notes lead to a savoury palate with hints of star anise and lemon pith. Harvested at optimum ripeness, whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks, lastly matured in old 300l French oak barrels adding texture and structure.

Located just ten kilometres from the beautiful town of Mudgee, at an elevation of 580 metres the First Ridge Vineyard overlooks the beautiful Cudgegong River Valley. First Ridge has been producing premium wine grapes for the last 18 years, and are dedicated to producing the best Italian varietals. Vines were first planted in the 1990's who were an early adopter of the Italian varieties of Sangiovese and Barbera and following on with Vermentino, Fiano and Pinot Grigio in 2013.
