Wines of the month | Aramis Vineyards

"Every great wine tells a story. It leads you to another place, sharing the beauty of the vineyards where it was produced and the passion of the people who made it." - Aramis Vineyards

Aramis certainly has its fair share of stories, given a 5 star Halliday status within the first three years and crowned McLaren Vale Winery of the year countless times.

Wine maker Lee Flourentzou purchased a small parcel of land in the corner of the world-renowned McLaren Vale which is where he wanted to create a collection of wines that reflected his own sense of passion, adventure and style. Taking inspiration from one of the greatest stories of all time - The Three Musketeers and its most enduring characters: the legendary Aramis.

Our top three Aramis wines:

1) Aramis Vineyards 2015 White Label Cabernet $25.00

A focus of dark fruits, hints of fennel and assertive tannins all leads to this White Label Cabernet taking you on a juicy savoury journey, possessing an inherent earthiness and minerality all of which shines throughout.

2) Aramis Vineyards 2015 White Label Shiraz $25.00

A style of shiraz close to our hearts - elegant, velvety tannin structure combined with a savouriness and minerality with a rich mocha and charcuterie with an opulent finish. The lifted fruit characters of blueberry’s and cassis are beautifully balanced with savoury notes, smoked meats and lingering complexity. Drink this wine when eating food to ensure you get the most out of its complexity and elegance.

3) Aramis Vineyards 2016 White Label Pinot Grigio $25.00

What we like about this wine in particular is the fresh vibrancy and lovely notes of pear balanced with crunchy acidity. The 2015 Vintage has been talked about as the vintage of the decade with cool nights and gentle rainfall, it had the optimal growing conditions for Pinot Grigio. A delicate wine making touch showcases the purity of the fruit without any lees or barrel work.
