All the way from the Kamptal region somewhere between Langenlois and Grafeness, Austria we'd like to introduce you to - Weingut Etz.
Now don't worry if you can't pronounce it, because it tastes delicious and after a bottle or two you'll be confidently saying "more Weingut Etz please" with a new found Austrian accent.
Family-owned since 1989 and fourth generation winemakers, the Etz brothers have 40 hectares of vineyards over several renowned sites of the Kamptal region between Langenlois and Grafenegg. The winery itself has been thoroughly modernised with state of the art technology to bring out the best in their wines.
For those of you who love Pinot Noir, we recommend you try Austria's take on it - the Blauer Zweigelt showcases bright ruby fruit, abundant rich cherry and smatterings of plum which lead to a savoury elegant palate. Pair this with fatty savoury and fragrant foods, you'll thank us later.
Now for the white, the 2016 Gruner Veltliner Kamptal is youthful and showcases excellent fruit qualities of pear, grapefruit and granny smith apples. We really love the peppery note on the palate that brings a pronounced acidity.
